Tech(nically) (Un)support(ive)

Are you having problems with your HTC or some other Android device? You could always scour forums on the web for hours in search of solutions to your issues. But let me tell you, everyone is having the same problem as you and will either (a) have zero answers at all; or (b) have an answer - but not one that works for you even though it seems to work for 5 out of 7 people who responded to that same post for some God-unknown reason. Of course, you could always call tech support, but please allow me to save you a little trouble on that front. The following is a frighteningly accurate representation of how that conversation will go.

You will tell the tech rep that you've already tried restarting your phone (because you did - 5 times). Then he will tell you to shut it off and take out the battery (which you've also done - 3 times for 3 minutes each time). Then when that fails (AGAIN), he will tell you that he's sending updates to your phone / updating the PRL / updating your profile (any one of these possibly or some or all of them in whatever order he chooses). Then, because that didn't work, he will ask you to dial #3282# and will give you a special code to enter and will ask you to change some settings. Then you will restart again. Then all of that will be proven to have failed. Again. Then he will ask you to restart your phone again and take the battery out. AGAIN. Then your brain will explode. Then you will have the additional problem of having brains on your phone. Do you know how hard it is to get brains out of the crevices of your cellular device?? Do you???

I cannot possibly offer more help than this, but at least it's honest. You heard it here, folks.

The end.

  1. I can't say I have cleaned brains off ... anything. Thankfully? Question mark?

  2. So lucky. I... can't say anymore. I've already said too much.
