Write Things to Say

After all of that writing in June, I stopped for a bit. The next time I wrote anything was a week or so later when I expanded my thoughts a bit more on this book I have in my heart. When I left the café that evening I was absolutely beaming - I'd had a breakthrough, and my scattered thoughts had come full circle. What a glorious feeling! And then I stopped.

Well, not "stopped" in the sense of less movement and busy-ness... but I stepped away from writing words again, and that was ok... for the moment. After another week passed, though, something happened. I felt that void widening - the space where the writing fits just so - and realized that it was time to get back to it. Time to rant & rave or contemplate or be silly and write a blog post or even do other writing. That is the solution... but the solution came in advance of the problem, which is that there has been a lot of noise and so much so that it's been difficult to even form a coherent thought about what to write.

See, the month of July has been full of family and friends visiting from other places, lots of fun times, and running on a schedule with the Couch to 5K program (C25K) as part of my preparation for October's Warrior Dash (more to come on that). And all of this is extremely positive and very good for Stacie's soul. :) That just means I've had my brains filled up with too much excitement and there has been too much motion to settle down and focus on writing something about anything (or writing anything about something).

That said, I just had to write about nothing for a minute if only to remind myself that this blog is my sanctuary and is here for me to lay down my thoughts whenever I wish about whatever I please.
